By Julia: Minnows
White minnows waiting for a piece of cracker
pushing each other
taking the biggest crumb
even if they can't eat it
Selfish, greedy minnows
I like them anyway.

Swoosh-getting a hoop
Yelling when they get a basket.
Bonk-hitting the floor
Bonk off the hoop
Hearing the whistle blow
When you get a foul
Stopping on the floor

Yelling when they get a basket.
Bonk-hitting the floor
Bonk off the hoop
Hearing the whistle blow
When you get a foul

The big fluff ball
Sprints through the living room

With his hair in his eye
Banging into the chair.

Big black dog stretched out wide
He looks at you as if you can almost see his soul
The shaking of the treat bag

Saying, "thank you".

Red fish swimming across the tank
Swish, swish-tail flapping and flopping
Around the bush
The lid comes off and he swims to the top
Waiting for food
when I shake his food
He swims all around.
